Ok here one for you. My dome light want work. 20 Amp fuse on driver side is good, inner door lights work, vanity light on passanger side works. I have power at the wire when grounded to the chassis, but not to the ground wire with it.
If I gound the light unit to the chassis gounds on the light base, the light will work via the switch but not with the doors and the timming on the doors stop, The door lights go out when the door is shut, instead of the nice fade out. Thanks SuperX |

I can't look it up right now, to see if it would have the affect you're describing but the ground in the dome lamp housing is renowned for corroding. Pull the assembly apart, clean all the contacts with a wire brush and check the spot where the ground is riveted to see if there's a lot of corrosion. If there is, drill out the rivet, clean the contacts with sandpaper and reattach with a new rivet or sheet metal screw. Heh, I can't even recall if there's only one ground or if there are two... Well, same thing either way.
If that's not the problem it's probably the Integration Relay #1.

It is the ground wire in the harness that doesn't make the circut.
Sorry so short I was driving (my Truck). I have 12 volts checking the + wire to the metal roof, When I check the wires (+,-), I don't have 12 volts. I figure my ground must be bad. It also must be after the door light ground since they still work. The vanity light on the passanger side still works also. Don't know where to look for it, or where it ties into the system on the door lights. The door lights don't fade off any more either. Superb Last edited by SuperX; 01-27-2010 at 10:40 PM. |

Just got what you said about the integration relay. I bet that's it.
Know where I can get one at. I will check it and let you know what I find. Thanks superx Last edited by SuperX; 01-28-2010 at 08:03 AM. |

Have you seen where part of the relay stops working. Just wondering if the relay can go bad as the dome light stops working but everything else is OK.
I looked at the schematic and it looks like all the lights are tied in to the same spot on the relay. Thanks SuperX |
