For weight reduction, its anything. Remember it doesn't matter what the sticker weight on the car is. That weight given is just the car. Don't forget that u also have weight and everything else you put into the car does too. I get a lot of hassle from my friends on how i don't have seat belts for the rear seats because "they add weight", its actually because the guy i bought the car from didn't include them.

Mostly it depends on what you dont need or dont care to have. If you dont need music playing or dont care for it, take out all the the audio systems like, speakers and etc. Or maybe you don't care how it looks inside, take out the carpets, door panels, center console and such and back seats because you wont be driving people around. Or you dont care about security/safety and take out the spare tire and jack stand and the security system and only have the lock work, and maybe you don't need cruise control, you can take the cruise control system out. Maybe you weigh a lot im talking heavy guy like me, lose some weight and your overall car weight with you in the car will be lower.

Basiclly it depends on what you dont need or care or want in the car. I can help you more if you tell us what the car will be used for, daily driving, racing, motor cross, etc. Also if im sounding like a jerk i apologize ahead.

Around to 3500lbs depending on equipment. There are a couple threads about weight reduction, just search the MKIII section for weight reduction and you're sure to find them. I posted a link to a list of components and their respective weight... it's very helpful for planning ahead.

One of the threads on weight reduction is in the MKIII FAQ section, have a look through there, you'll find a lot of your questions are probably already answered.

No its all cool you don't sound like a jerk. I'm mostly going to be using it for daily driving but me and a buddy of mine are planning a drag race in the near future when we both have our cars set up the way we want them (he's in a '93 Miata).
