The pedals do not line up; it was like that from the factory. The only reason any of the pedals would be even closer to the ground is if the arm is bent. I believe there is approxamately a 1/2" offset between the gas and brake pedals.
If it isn't bent and you floor it and the throttle plate doesn't open 100% then you may need to remove slack from the throttle cable (there is supposed to be a little, but not much) or you may need to adjust the linkage which mounts between it and the throttle body. |

Thank you. This has really been helpful. All in all even with a lil tap on the pedal the car moves! I bought the car completly stock. Im working on restoring the car then looking into performance. I want to leave the body and interior untouched for that classic look.
