i'm going to appoligize right now
i'm sorry man when i got the car i assumed it was a 3.0L because all the other ones I saw were 3.0L so I got it in my head that it said 3.0L on the engine that's the only reason I was so stubborn about the whole 3.0L thing I figured I know better because I can see it on my engine but I realized this and checked my engine and there are no markings so as far as I know it is a 2.0L then which sucks when I bought the car I thought I was getting a 3.0L any suggestions as to whether I should fix up this engine or just do a complete engine swap? and the other thing I'm wondering is lets say that I swap with a 7MGTE, can I keep my turbos? I love my turbos and will be reluctant to do a swap if it means I'm left with none or a single turbo |

The only swap you should consider is a 2.5L 1jz-gte. It is also a twin turbo motor. You will need a R-154 tranny for it as well.

Whats wrong with the 2.0L? i think its pretty cool. If you upgrade it alot you shld have a super high reving motor that would be rare and differant.

you're lookin at about 280 horses with the 2.5L 1jz-gte right?
sounds good to me a high rpm enigine would be cool too though but I'm looking for the power more I think either way I still gotta do my manual transmission swap this will all be alot easier now that I know what I'm running under the hood my only hope right now is that my current engine is the 210hp version and not the 185hp model if I dropped the 1jz-gte would I need to get new turbos? I think I will eventually because mine are old and leaking where they connect but I would just like to know |

If you buy a used 1jz twin turbo just buy it wit the turbos on it. They will be better turbos than what you have now

Well i thnk a used motor only is around 1000-1800. Again thats motor only and price will vary dpending pn what comes with it(ex. Ac, turbos, crusie control ect.) looking at you other post you said you wanted a maunual tranny too. You can buy that seperate or with the motor already attached. Im not sure how much the tranny costs byitself but with the 1jz its about 1500-2200 again depending on what come with it and the milage
