Not a true projector. Just a cheap lens to try and make it look cool. I do true OEM HID retrofits here and there. Just ordered those kind of housings to do my new supra. But those headlights will look horrible. The light will be all over the place.

yeah the past owner put something like that in my supra and the light is directed pretty well. mine is still a silver chrome backing to it tho. not black.. but to me the link you showed me those lights dont look to good for lighting at all lol.
