Could be just the sender unit or the gauge, I would check the wire connection on the sender unit is clean and making a good contact first.
I would also look for any supras being sold for parts on Ebay and contact the seller for an oil pressure sender unit; I would have thought you could pick one up for a few dollars. Alternatively; unscrew the sender unit and fit a test gauge Link bit expensive for a one off test.
