it's not really the weight of the a/c thats helps when you yank it out .
it's the power thats reclaimed by not being having to turn the a/c compressor , even when the a/c is not "on" it requires some power to turn the pulleys . i'd yank the PS if the thing was easier to turn at low speeds 10 hp here and there adds up
