I was thinking around 300whp?
Alright what kinda whp numbers should i expect to get in a

1987 supra turbo 7mgte

mods include

metal head gasket
ARP Studs

boost controller set to around 9 psi

K+N air filter

New 3inch elbow

....

what kinda numbers do u get when u add in complete 3 inch exhaust?

ddmcse 08-05-2005 01:42 PM

spend 60 bucks and get it to a dyno .
it's a good idea to get some kind of baseline .
i got a big lift from the 3 " cat back (no cat) prolly around 35 hp .. adding 3" elbow and 3" no pre-cat downpipe was "more" icing on the cake .

using :
elect fan
no a/c
no cat
frees a little more juice

yea the closest dyno is like 2 and half hours away so i was just curious on what other people were putting down when they had those mods

daiagaru2 08-05-2005 02:12 PM

with those mods and a couple pounds more boost you will be very close to the ball park,of course if you remove the cat(s) then it is an off road vehicle, include a 3" down pipe and your really close.of course altitude and weather conditions durring testing will affect your power #.

At 9 psi i shouldnt hit fuel cut off should i?
ive heard u can go to 10psi but may hit fuel cut off now and then

Thanks for ur reply

fco depends on a lot of factors .including outside temp and humidity

exact fco today is going to be different tonight and tomorrow

for example if are set to boost 9 lbs and are missing fco in the afternoon the next morning when you go for that first boost everything is cool and you'll get more air which will prolly hit fco one time that first time .

alright ill keep that in mind then....

to raise the fuel cut off i need a lexus afm right??
i know i need 550cc injectors and a upgraded fuel pump

i was looking at this on ebay... is this a fake??

get a fuel cut defencer from hks, this should solve the problem.

Yes, using the lexus AFM with larger injectors is a great upgrade. It's not only to up fule cut, but to keep on the safe side of flowing enough fuel to keep you from going lean. Do NOT install just the AFM, you need to do the AFM and injectors at the same time unless you want to throw your ratio so far out of whack you'll run either really rich, or so lean you break something...

Elbow's are good addons for the engines. Seing the dyno sheets is pretty scary about waht just a down tube and exhaust will do... personally I want a divorced down pipe which vents excess boost from the wastegate out a seperate path instead of interupting exhaust flow.

i haven't seen anyone mention the custom air screw needed for the lexus air flow meter
