just got some pics up, and ya thats exactly where it was
|
just replace it. go to a different auto parts store. you dont have to get the exact part.. just as long as what ever you use is doing the same job.. shouldnt be costly.. if your car is your only car and daily driver.. it would probably be ok to drive to the parts store etc.. as long as u keep your eye on the coolant levels. last resort would be a toyota dealership. im sure that piece wouldnt cost u an arm and a leg. and if u do go there.. just describe to them where it was.. they'll print out a picture of the area and just point it out lol. thats wat i did when i was missing bolts, hoses and stuff

No, I just use this Link enter your vin # or select your model. You should eventually see a diagram like this, click on the figure # and you will see the part # on the right hand column. This part is listed, as 90339-16001 and 90339-16007 both are the same part.

I was up north near Lake Superior, far away from home. This is where I purchased my Supra. I drove it back on the highway the night I bought it and all of a sudden after 20 minutes my temp started skyrocketing! I pulled over and opened up the hood. I feared a BHG...that must be why that old dude sold me his Supra with so little miles on it. Turns out that damn random ass plug was spewing coolant out my engine. I drove the car to a rest stop and ended up hitch hiking back with some nice/crazy Christian dude to the cities.
The next morning I drove back up with a buddy with some random small hosing and clamps from autozone. I got that all on nice and tight and haven't had a problem with it since. Really, did they just put that shitty piece of rubber there to make life miserable? I probably should "offiicially" replace it sometime, but it hasn't leaked in four years. |
