Yeah, changing plugs is a royal pain (might explain why mine where in such bad shape from the previous owner). If you have the money, take it to a reputable shop and have them look it over and find out everything that's wrong. Could be a lot of things, but he's right about the HG. Since it's not a Turbo, you could use the normal replacement HG, but get the bolts torqued down tighter (thinks it's 72ft-lbs).
