Default Help. questions

So yesterday my brakes went out. and i believe its the master cylinder... that sucks.. i am going to try to rebuild it. Anyone have any pointers? ALSO.. today i started tearing apart my engine to change my head gasket. does anyone know how to get the turbo bolts off? (the 4 bolts connecting to turbo elbow) i got 3 of them off but i cannot get the 4th one (if you look from above and from in front of the car it is the one to the right and close to the ground.) i cant seem to get a socket in there and i can get a wrench but its just starting to strip the bolt... i sprayed penetrating stuff in there like 5 times... tried hammering it with the wrench but didnt work... any pointers? ALSOO the oil feed bolts... how the hell does anyone get those off..???

Ah, these are all what you'd call "Learning Experiences".

The mc (needless to say) you'll want to be careful rebuilding. Make sure all the replacement seals and the piston aren't gouged, nicked, or otherwise in less than perfect shape. I took the easy way out with mine when it was shot, bought a new Aisin OEM unit. Not really lazy about it, just wanted to make sure it was right.

Don't remember precisely how the last bolt for the turbo came off on mine, but I do remember it was something of a PITA and would be even if it's not a solid piece of rust. I'll try and round you up a little how-to on that and your oil feed line.

I normally leave the elbow attached and undo it from the down-pipe. The most time consuming bit is undoing the two nuts at the bottom of the oil return pipe. Be very careful Kevin when you reconnect the oil feed banjo bolt. make sure the washes are in place and the bolt goes into the bock straight and not cross-threaded. I've never tried it; but some owners have undone the two nuts fixed under the turbo to release the oil pipe, which would make it a lot easier.
