Thanks Bill. I really wasn't sure if the belt direction made a difference or not. I appreciate you're clearing that up. The timing belt installation sequence on the UK Supra site for which you provided the link was excellent, and helped a lot. The new idler pulley and timing belt fit up fine. Next to breaking the crank pulley bolt free, I think the worst part of the job is going to be replacing all of the vacuum lines.
