Default 87 throttle/cruise linkage

fyi, while restoring my 87 supra turbo I noticed that my brackets that the throttle and cruise cable hook to was very sloppy. The plastic bushing that allows the linkage to operate smoothly was broken and pieces were missing. My solution? I grinded off the shaft and took the assembly apart. Then i took some washers and drilled them out to the exact size of the shaft. welded them onto the throttle, cruise and the bracket that attaches to the butterfly. welded the shaft back in place. Lubricated the movement and bingo. A smooth operating assembly again. I'm sure this part is over 100.00 from toyota. If anyone needs help doing this please let me know and i can assist you. Thanks. Keith
