i think the very first thing you should do is re-torque the head bolts.
factory specs call for 55lbs . everyone here will agree that 55lbs isn't going to cut it . get your hands on a torque wrench and sock em down to at least 75lbs . keep close watch on the coolant levels especially the over flow bottle up front ,drivers side. looks like a window washer re- fill bottle

Hello,I know about the bottle/overfill tank,cooling has not been a problem,car runs the middle of temp gauge or below even on really warm days crusing around town or on the highway. I have been using the Toyota red antifreeze as did the previous owner during the time he had the car. I flushed out the system really well shortly after I got the car, filled it and burped it, all A-OK so far
