I'd try to figure out the problem with the motor while its still in the donor car rather than going through all the trouble of hooking it up in yours then having many other variables about why it might not be running properly; electrical etc.

Well a computer and harness from a 91 will not work in a pre 89. So even if you purchased the engine and all the required parts it would not be a plug and play deal. I would go ahead and buy it, having a spare engine especially a turbo engine is nice.

Yes it would be easier to sole the problems while still i nthe car but the guy lives a couple hours away and i dont feel like spending a day or two out of town trying to fix the car so i will probably have to get somthing else figured out.
