AWESOME.

I'm sure you never sleep in the same place 2 nights in a row due to the toyota hitmen hot on your tail.

That thing looks so sick! It looks like he still kept the turbo too.

just so you guys know my 88 is N/A (naturally aspirated) in order to get 20lbs of boost with a turbo kit it will cost me about $6000.00 I can get a supercharger that tops about 19 lbs of boost for $4500.00 and it's less work in the long run. I bought a second Supra a few weeks ago for $300.00 and I'm in the begining stages of building the engine for either a turbo or supercharger. I'm still leaning towards the "charger" because plumbing the oil lines is simpler and I don't need to run coolant to most of them. besides then I can build a custom header with 1 7/8" outputs. F.Y.I. i have a full fabrication shop at my disposal and 10 years of "fab" experience with 4X4's. I've got the fuel system mapped out, and I believe i have the ecm issues worked out. I'm going to "hopefully" have the head off the donor motor in the next two weeks and have the machine shop max it out for flow. Unfortunately my divorce is going to be finalized next thursday and I get to see how broke I am from there. It may put a hamper on my "fun" for a while. time will tell

just been browsing the net as i was thinking along the same lines as you about a supercharger and was thinking if a non turbo engine with steel gaskets would be strong enough with the charger so was thinking about trying to fab one myself wish you all success on your project and would deffinately be interested how you go on and any pointers you might have best regards eck

Unfortunately I got divorced and the supra was sold to help pay the lawyer. At this point I'm holding out for my dream supra, a 94-95 twin turbo 6 spd. I almost purchased a used powerdyne supercharger that had a fixed 8lbs of boost. I'm A fabricator with welder torches and plasma cutter my only issue was finding the crank pulley to fit the supra. I wish you luck if you proceed friend. Either way, have fun doing it.

im not sold. i think turbo chargers are better for the inline application. maby if it was a V engine... either way it would only be so someone could say look how unique and different my supra is....
