I have this problem as well, except it comes on when I put the car in gear and stays on until I shut the car off. It might be for the reverse lights or something idk I'm pretty sure none of my lights are out. Could it be on for a dead LED in the rear wing?

It is for all rear lights, and the rear side markers, I could see a dead LED causing it.
When I picked up my Supra some of the bulbs were stock Toyota, lol. The first one I went to replace shattered from the pressure of my fingers and cut me pretty bad, I had to use a pair of pliers after that to loosen the bulb, did the same for another three bulbs. The third brake light was also out, literally, all I had there was two wires, lol, I still haven't gotten around to buying a socket for it. The weird thing is that after a few months of driving the warning light stayed off, and it hasn't came back on since. |

I think it is a bad connection, when I am at a stand still the lights work and my brother told me yesterday that one of my tail lamps was out. When I got home I told him to hit the brakes and see for my self and they still work, so it probably is a bad connection.

Yea, that reminded me, I had a similar problem with a light going out and then coming back on later. I took some WD-40 and sprayed the entire light assembly's and the light failure box, that solved my problem because of the water running down behind the tail light from the hatch was causing a bad connection.

I think this is exactly what is happing chambers. I have seen water running out of the hatch near the 3rd brake light. I will put some WD-40 on near the connection. How do you stop the leak?

Would it be possible to get a pic of where your seeing the water coming from? That would help in determining what can be done to fix it.

The yellow box thats on the drivers side tail light probably went bad. If it was a bad connection your tail lights would work intermittently.

You'll have to get a new rear hatch seal from the dealership to fix that leak unless you're an ace with the rtv.
