Ok, so the check engine light is always on, with the error code EGR malfunction. What could be wrong and how do i fix it?

Well, gee, hmmm, I wonder what kinda car your talking about ??
A supra or a honda?
you see, I write service at a shop, so I'll just have to ' get' the info outa ya......
uh, mam, what kinda car is it ? What motor is it? is the lite always on?? How long has the lite been on? have you noticed any driving problems?? does it run differently?? are you on drugs???

89 supra 7mgte. i'm thinking it might be a catalytic converter, but that's just a guess. It's not my car, i'm just trying to figure out the problem, so i can't be too helpful .
