Those wheels look familiar! My current use of this car is to learn about cars and go fast on road courses. The fun part is trying to get this 20 year old car faster than the new stuff out there. Would be cheaper to just go buy an STi or EVO but not as much fun or satisfaction. NOTE: The license plate play-on-words can be taken many ways. 'Anti-EVO Toyota", "Devolved Toyota", "Devoted to Toyota", or just simply a fun car with a little tongue-in-cheek..."DEVO toy". (Actually was a DEVO Spudboy inspiration but I'll go with anything or not.) 1988 Toyota Turbo Supra – (7M-GTE) Manual trans I am original owner. Purchased in California November 1987. Remained stock until the summer of 2006 and 68,000 original miles. Currently 72,000 original miles. Current development as of July 20, 2008 Engine 1) Metal HG with ARP studs 2) Turbo rebuild/upgrade by Majestic Turbo, TX to 48 trim. 3) K&N intake/filter 4) Flex-a-lite electric engine cooling fan 5) Lexus MAF (with stock Supra sensor) 6) HKS Super Drager Catback exhaust (95 mm or 3.75 inch piping) 7) Blitz SBC i-D (boost controller) 8) AEM EMS (Dyno tuned) Other 1)TEIN flex Coilovers with EDFC 2)JICTower struts (front and rear) 3)235/45 ZR17 Toyo RA1’s Wish list 1)New down pipe 2)New intercooler with hard pipes 3)Good racing seats 4)Racing harness seat belts 5)Roll bar 6)Better wheels track-specific with a little larger in back, new set RA1’s 7)What ever else it takes for more road-course speed |

Here's my new baby. These are the pictures taken about 2 days prior to me purchasing it and I still dont have it back from the appraisal company for the new pics.. but it shows it.
1988 Toyota Supra Turbo... love it! ![]() ![]() ![]() Edited May 19, 2025 Pics seem to have disappeared... lol. (I have them still, though), the car got destroyed by a young girl running a red light. (Ford Escape @ 70 kph with zero braking hitting passenger side front corner ... ford won that round) Now I am in a 1987 remake of the car (a bit better than where I was... ) appraised at 82,400 replacement (fyi) These cars are getting rarer and rarer... here is my 88 supra gte that i bought from a buddy for 1000.00 canadian. it has a jdm engine with about 80,000km on it. it was in rough shape so i painted the car, the rims and the calipers. i ordered a new downpipe, elbow, intercooler pipe and tokicko suspension. (non tems because i am too cheap to replace with the tems systems). it aint perfect, but its way nicer than the day i picked it up. the colour is forest green pearl metallic and yes, i painted it in my front yard. (hillbilly style). i will hopefully be on the road next month. i havent even got the chance to drive it yet.
