Default TPS problem

well my TPS has never been right since i put my supra back together. No matter where i put the sensor i can never get idle right, even when adjusting the idle screw. And also it feels like its cutting at like 4000 rpm. The car will keep reving up and the boost will peg out, but the speed will drop as if the fuel is being cut. I ran codes and got a TPS trouble code

Cool

did you screw up one of the four wires connecting the tps ?

i'd get the screw back to were it belongs and then work on the timing .
i think it's an art to get that sucker in there just right

Your TPS should have 1 connector with 4 wires coming from it... If not, then that would be the first clue as to why you have the Tps code.

TPS testing info: MK3 TSRM On-Line

The alignment info is two pages later, test it first the TPS is a wear component.

Why do people have to keep screwing with the "idle screw"? It's a modern car! The idle is computer controlled! So unless you've already moved it, odds are it's right where it needs to be... which in this case, yes, I know, you've moved it.

Dude...., I never moved mine. Never touched a wrench or driver too it.

So it's possible these things should start being sinched up a bit before destall. They almost have to be moving when someone is working deep top side.

ok well what the manual fails to show is how the tps shuld be put on. should it go on, so that when i turn it, the throttle gives no resistance? or should it be if i turn the tps the throttle opens a little bit? a fast replay would be appreciated seeing as i have the TB in my hand and i need this thing together lol

The tps can really only go on my 91, One way.
Put the throttle body on and the rest should be easy to figure out if you take your time and look at it for a bit.

My general rule of thumb: Think 5 times. Wrench once.
Does this always work you ask??? It helps alot.

Do you need a vac. hose diagram?

Vacuum Piping
