Default turbo seals

how can you tell when your turbo seals have gone bad?

Chances are if you're wondering, they probably have.

I'm an N/A guy so that's the best I have to offer you there without risking false facts.

Supramacist has a good point though... what is the reason you are asking? Burning oil? Just smoke when you floor it? Oil in the intake piping?

yeah, oil in intake pipe, and when i rev it from the engine bay, a little smoke comes off the turbo. Also if i floor it and let it boost, the check engine light comes on, but im not sure if maybe thats because of my BOV or the hole in my inlet pipe.

Dude..., you should flush your entire intercooler and dis assemble all of the turbo stuff after you get the parts and spend the weekend getting it up to spec.

Everytime you fix something on one of these cars. Something else breaks and I think it's because the car has to run as 1 tight unit.

If you make an adjustment here or there...., You need to go around and re-check all the others you had previously made. Get all mad scitentist on it and think 5 times, turn wrenches once. Instead of thinking once and wrenching all damn day. By the 3rd time you get tired of doing crap and realize that you could have saved all this bs had you spent 5 minutes enjoying a beer or a smoke. Whilst contemplating the debacle.
