Do yourself a favor, if you do want to go with a setup like that, either build a box around the air filter or run longer pipe and put the air filter behind the fog light. It makes a huge difference in air temps.

Just trust me on this, make sure to get the filter air from outside of the engine bay.
I used a complete Civic CAI for my old setup: http://www.fadingworld.com/Supra/7MGEfromDS.jpg For my new one (no MAF) I had to add some more piping. |

What about water from the road though when it rains? Would it get into the intake? Someone told me they had that problem on their honda.

I haven't met anyone who's had it happen, but yeah, if you live in a very rainy environment or a swamp, you may want to think twice... in those cases build a fiberglass box around the filter and have that pull air in from where the stock filter did.
My filter isn't directly behind the fog light though... it sits right above it, more behind the bumper than anything. |
