I wouldn't ask that kind of thing of anyone, It's not exactly legal.
It it possible to get a title from your MVA, I'm not sure about your state but in MD they keep records of vehicles titled for five years after registration with no renewal. Take a trip to your local MVA and ask some questions, pick up some forms to fill out, you may have to get a signature of the last owner that had the title to allow a new title to be written up in your name. You can also see if your MVA has a vehicle found on property form, in MD if you have a vehicle that doesn't have a title you get the form, put a ad in a local paper for a set amount of time and when no one comes forward, the MVA gives you a title for the vehicle. If that fails you can find a titleing service in your state that may be able to help. Stuff like that will cost though, could be a few hundred dollars. I have a similar problem with my lowrider Ranger, if I could find the guy I bought it from I would have it titled and on the road, and I can't go to a title service because the truck came from a different state. It sucks. Good luck! |
