its a very inaccurate gauge, but it should it sholdnt drop off like that unless ur shifting or letting off the gas

its an old car and if it like any other mk3, it has had previous owners neglect it and now all those problems passed on to you. i see two options, 1. troubleshoot this current problem and fix it, or 2. get an aftermarket one. personally id get another one as ive been told these are inaccurate gauges, and they have such a small range on their scale.
