Default 1986.5 toyota supra. i need help!!

i recently bought a 1986.5 supra manual transmission non turbo. and turns out i blew a head gasket a week later....bastards failed to tell me it had problems. anyways i took it to a mechanic and he priced the fixing at $3,000. i barely had enough money to buy the car let alone fix it. so i was wondering if there is ANYONE out there that can give me some input. maybe how to fix it where to go to get it fixed...anything haha. thanks to anyone that replies

Toyota wanted %k to do that here.

I did it for that and added all the extra mods.
This can be done a bit less expensive.
But on the "cheap" is not the way to go.

If you don't have tools and a machine shop already in mind.
I would pay. Especially sinse you clearly haven't researched the model yet.
Or you would have been aware of the bhg ordeal.

It's a stock issue on any of these old mkIII's.
And if it isn't it will be.

ORder the parts and find a mechanic. That way you get your car back in 3 to 5 days. But still. There are discrepencies with these cars that a mechanic that doesn't work on them will not know. Like the headbolt torque specs.
59 lbs is toooooo low.
