Toyota wanted %k to do that here.
I did it for that and added all the extra mods. This can be done a bit less expensive. But on the "cheap" is not the way to go. If you don't have tools and a machine shop already in mind. I would pay. Especially sinse you clearly haven't researched the model yet. Or you would have been aware of the bhg ordeal. It's a stock issue on any of these old mkIII's. And if it isn't it will be. ORder the parts and find a mechanic. That way you get your car back in 3 to 5 days. But still. There are discrepencies with these cars that a mechanic that doesn't work on them will not know. Like the headbolt torque specs. 59 lbs is toooooo low. |

doin it your self will run you about 8 to $900 with mhg and arp studs, machining the head and gaskets....a lot more if u have to pay some one else..
