Where is this vacuum line saposed to connect to?

The pipe on the charcoal canister should just vent into the air but it connects to a small hole in the frame. That is how it was on both of my 87 Turbos and also the peice that is broken is on the Powersteering pump is a valve that will go bad after some time.

Is your powersteering hard or does your ps pump make noise?

Really?? What would happen if the metal rod coming from the body was plugged to the bottom of the charcoal canister?? Cause it seems it was and it snapped, now im wondering what that hose coming out from the passenger body is??
