the part by the dif there is 4 bolts. to get thoose off have the car in park and take 2 off and then put the car in neutral so you can spin the d/s and take the other 2 off. then there are 2 more bolts for the center support and the the d/s should just slide out. the trans will leak fluid so be prepared

I found it best to drop only the center support and as you start to pull the engine/tranny you will find that it'll pivot and slide right out. It'll go right back in the same way without having to disconnect the entire driveshaft.

what if your not removing the engine or tranny, but just replacing the driveshaft with a lighter one? theres only 6 bolts, so it shouldnt take longer than an hour or two if that, right?
