Default Electrical Troubleshooting

Hey all,

I just finished swapping in my 7mgte and have a few electrical problemos.

I have a push-start ignition with a switch to the left of it that toggles basic power on/off (stereo, windows etc.). I don't know how it's tapped into the stock wires but I know it was working before the swap.

  • 2 yellow wires come off the switch, through the firewall, and to the battery area. I grounded one of the wires and the other goes up into the fusebox.
  • 2 red wires come off the button. One goes to the ignition and the other goes through the firewall and is disconnected near the starter. I'm not sure where to connect this one.
When I put the key in the ignition I get the "beep beep" (key is in ignition sound). Nothing else seems to be getting power though so I'm thinking that I wired something to the wrong place.

Where should I start testing wires? What could I have screwed up?

Thanks for any suggestions,
Alex
