A lot depends on what you do or plan on doing with your car.
AND Do you have stock suspension with stock ride height? If you're still stock suspension and height those wheels and tires should fit. If you're lowered at all I would not do it. I run 17" 235/45's all around with TEIN flex coilovers lowered as much as I can. No problem with the width but I do bottom out on my front fenders under hard bracking into a corner on a road course. I could actually go a little wider and maybe 18" in the back. The big wheel with very low profile fad is just that...a fad. But not usually the best performance, and ride comfort sucks. Real performance tires have more sidewall to give the tire better strength under lateral g's. But, if you just want to look cool and cruise around that 19" stuff should work. The width at least is fine and my guess with stock factory set-up height should be OK too. Go to this link (or others) to punch in tire size numbers and compare. SO I ended up getting 225/45/16 Konig Traffik wheels all the way around.
Is there anyway to change the speedometer so it reads correctly? |

I believe those tires are the about the stock size so your speedo should still be good. FYI - In the future if you ever go bigger...some of those web sites for tire size calculators can tell you speedometer differences to expect. Unless you jack your car up and make it a 4 x 4 with huge tires the speedometer wont change much. (Keep in mind when people go bigger wheels they also go lower profile rubber so actual tire rubber outside diameter doesn't change that dramatically) |

I checked the tire size calculator and the diference at 60 mph made it 62.5 mph. I was just wondering if it was fixable or not, thanks for the help.

1) The stock speedometers on any car are not totally accurate so a few mph difference is not a big deal. 2) I don't know how to change or adjust a speedometer but I can tell you from experience changing the speedometer or the cable to the dash is a huge pain in the butt. 3) Drive 50, 60, 70... mph next to a few friends on your cell phones and compare speedometer readings. 4) Make a mental note of the results and use that information accordingly. And remember...if you have NO FEAR...you're not driving fast enough.
