you know you can (on n/a cars) wire in a ford coilpack(msd) in place of the stocker and gain 8hp. emissions is another 8. replacing stock pressure regulator with an adustable brings about 6. lexas maf another 4. pulling off the cat is about 9-12 depending on your engine set up. 3" exaust(you can build it yourself for under 100 bucks, just run it straight back and straight from the rear subframe to the corner of bumper) picks up about12+ hp.plus so many other things to name later

Amateurs.
I'm just going to over look that for the common good of this comunity. I agree with the port and polish method. I mean what's it costing right now 300 to 500 bucks. I just spent that much having my head restored. Or I will be in a few days. These na cars..., every little something anything that can be done makes a huge difference. My most celebrated mod??? AC delete. Takes an hour to do and the auto is an easy 45lbs. lighter. I had to install my own blaster coil. walbro fuel pump. eibach springs and tokico shocks. New starter, alternator, timing belt, idle tensioner pulley, upper gasket set. Front and rear jic strut rods. Rear seat delete. MSD 8,5mm plug wires and denso iridium u groove plugs. New water pump New power stearing pump new clutch new rear main seal. I mean I guess there are degrees of amateur but jeez man c'mon. Stop the hate. Oh and that big box in my garage has a carbon fiber hood in it. I'll smoke a stock 7mge when I get this beast roaring again. Nothing extravagent for exhaust, a stock pipe and a 14 inch glass pack. Cause I'm a cowboy like that. You understand me. I have turned all of the wrenches on this project auto thus far. I'm the first one to say I am not a mechanic. But I have the common logic and the apptitude to work on my own 7m engine. AND ya, I get by with a little help from my friends at times. These guys here make sure I am turning the right wrenches, when I am unsure. Last edited by supramacist; 04-20-2007 at 05:08 AM. |

they still make the DT headers for our car..there labled under the 85 modle but say 7mge on the page
http://www.titanmotorsports.com/brcr7mca.html orderd them yesterday, will be here monday dt headers are the best in the business. but everyone knows if your looking for huge hp gains, go turbo its the only way. when i first got my supra i had the same dream, turbo charged beast but reality hit and i couldnt aford something like that, being a college student and 1full time job. plus if i had bought a turbo engine, i would have wanted to upgrade the turbo, downpipe ect.. so it would have costed even more and it allways does.
