5mge help

hey everyone im new to the site and haveing problems with my 83 5MGE..
first of all its not starting and im thinking due to cold start injector. but thats a possibility. it turns over but its not starting... i dont know my way around this engine well enough yet cuz i just got it. but if you could give me an idea that would be awesome. thanks,

first... try to use a starting fluid and spray on the thortle body n one person start the car while you spray the starting fluid on the thortle body or the air intake...

second... disconnected the fuel line n turn on the ignition key... and see the fuel line that came from the back of the fuel tank to the fuel filter... to see if there is any fuel coming out... if there is then it means that your fuel pump is good... n its something else... if you do that and you dont see anything coming out on the fuel line then it means that your fuel pump is died....

try the above part first and save yourself some money....

i still havent gotton around to it, damn snow and christmas and work is taking up my time! this motor is in my 1980 toyota 4x4, the thing gose like stink and i wish i had it running for the winter it would help so much but soon when i get time ill check all this stuff out and hopefuly it will be running
