Try seeing if there is a auto parts reseller in your area, like Auto Zone or who ever, and see if they have a test procedure you can put on your ignition components. It's no cost, and will avoid wasting time and money with hit/miss.
Also, are there any import salvage yards near you? If you want , give me the specifications and year of your sky bird (supra) and I will check my local salvage yard and see what i can find for you. "Jet"

Actually I came to find out it was the ignition coil? Whatever that grey looking metal box that sits on top of the coil and has 6 wires coming out of it, Whatever that is called, it was the problemed part. I grabbed one out of a local junk yard for $10 and it fixed the problem, I may pick up another as a spair..
