and from my experience from welding cracks in the back hatch deck, its very easy to just melt away the spot you're welding rather than getting the metal to stcik to itself since its such thin metal. Though without the fender flares, body kits wont fit right?, the only one ive found that i would actually be able to get my hands on is the kaminari F1 which requires fender flares.
