If memory serves you should have to remove two bolts holding on the inspection plate for standard and automatic transmission models,
If all bolts are removed and there appears to be clearance use appropriate prying locations The pan does not have to fully be removed to replace the gasket, i used silicon gasket spread on both sides of mine with great results, just make sure all oil from gasket surface is removed.
