Default CHECK ENGINE (temp gauge/RPM) flutters when hitting bumps (bogging)

5mgTe 83
obviously, my first idea was something was knocked loose while accidentally jumping my car into a drift.
the very day I did this, and a few days later I noticed no problems. but when finding myself hitting bumps in the road during the week, i figured I probably have knocked a sensor or something loose. the temp gauge would drop completely for a second, the rpm gauge would also drop about a 1000 rpm, and the car seemed like it tried to die, but didn't stall while in gear. the check engine light will come on after hitting bumps but only stays on for about 15 seconds. It's also back firing and shooting fire all over the place now which it didn't do while regularly decelerating.
I've checked the distributor and ignition coil and all the spark plugs, everything seemed connected and good. my ecu is bolted to where the glove box used to be, and i tugged on the connectors and some wiring near it at idle. it wasn't consistent, BUT i did notice that the idle did drop for a second once or twice while doing so. but when tugging the same ones a second time it didn't respond. can anyone guide me to some possibilities of what it may be?
thank you for anyone with information or ideas of a sensor or something causing this

Sounds to me like a momentary power loss at the ECU if not the whole system. I'd start with checking the battery cables, grounds and fusible links.

yup, I actually just replaced an old fusible link. new wire now, so yeah.. that does seem pretty knowledgeable to keep tracking all the way back to the computer now.
thank you for your advise man, and i guess I'll bring this post up again if it happens not to be it.

to the top!
still having this problem, started pulling tape off a ton of wired-in safc wires to the ecu, connected them better, taped back over.
I would like a pin out for an 83 ecu
if anyone can help with that it'd be awesome.
any other ideas for me to partake before wasting all my money at a shop?
the car isn't losing full power to the accessories when this happens, could it be timing?
if so, what degree is it supposed to be lined up with?

I hate that there is literally no "search" for this car, I have found nothing while searching for months now.
