cleaned up my intake manifold, and painted the covers.

Attachment 4075 I got new Injector seals today, so In the morning ill put the rest back together. after that i need to buy a batter, and freshen up the oil and gas |

just ordered my 1uzfe to w58 adapter plate from quantum auto.
gona start cleaning up my trans, and paint it gloss black. gona order the flywheel in about 2-4 weeks. |

haha, im keeping my eye out for a r154, because hey of course do make an adapter for it aswell.
as of right now i have 2 w58s, so once the first one pops i will start to look for the r154. plus "some" people seem to think the w58 will withstand 300 horses, for how long im not sure... |
lol, it might withstand 300 horses at 10k rpms (4age status man!) yea im just thinking that low end tq is gonna grenade that thing.

5 burnouts sounds like a good target haha. i picked up another eaton m62 at the pull n save the other day. im thinkin twin m62's on a 2uz would be fun.

gona paint my trans. black aswell, my adapter plate was sent out on 22nd so it shouldnt be too long for that.. |

also i have decided to go with a carb. |
going with a custom intake manifold carb. and coil packs with ford edis8 ignition.
also ordered up some new w58 shifter bushings from billym on celicasupra.com 49$CAD comes to my door |
boo on the carb. efi would be so much nicer. get MS2 or 3, only a lil more than the carb and manifold will run prolly, and youll get more power, better drivability, plus you dont have to run EDIS if you dont want. can run some individual coil packs from a caddy, dodge, mitsu, etc... thats what im doin.
ms2, relay board, wiring harness and all the data cables runs about 560 bux. |
na, i think im going to buy another mk2 supra and start a 7mgte build possibly...

true i guess. a simple setup is nice, but id still keep the EFI. poor fuel distribution through a carb and improper manifold can grenade an engine quick..
but hey it will probably work, gonna be a high rpm motor for sure! thinking a 500 edelbrock or 550 demon carb would be pretty sexy and perform the crap out of that thing. |
found some engine mounts finally. i havnt much time during the week to fab up 1uz to ma61 mounts so this is really going to help:

nice! ive got an edis8 module but no crank trigger wheel. im not gonna use it though. they are a pretty good system, and simple as all get out.

got my mounts and have test fitted engine. gona have to order the oil filter relocation kit.

edis8 came with coil packs plug wires pigtails, each coil pack came with its own cps also got a 36-1 crank gear.
basically i should have it all wired together real soon, and hopefully mounted on or in the engine bay. |
score! local pull n save here has a crap ton of those old EDIS units around. i have one, but donno what ill use it on. since im running MS and individual coil packs, it wont work for me. how much did you spend if you dont mind my asking?

picked up a 5L oil filter adapter and fittings yesterday. just have to buy lines and i got an oil filter. one step closer!

on the topic of carbs, i think a holley avenger would be a nice pick. any one have any experience with carbs?? |

almost done with my charging and starting system wiring. the funny thing is, the alternator plug on my ma61 appears to be exactly the same as the 91 ls400 plug, it just plugs in. i will check the wires later to be sure its the same internally. going to lordco today to buy new battery terminals and ground cable. i really want to buy some nice electric, heat, and oil pressure gauges.

Nearing the end of my corolla project. And have started prepping for the 92 1uzfe with under 50k miles I purchased through ebay. Complete with wiring ecu and auto trans for 1500usd. My orig 1uz just turned into a spare. Have my eye on a drop in alum welded griffin rad. Then I only need a ps cooler batter clutch and front drive shaft. This new 1uz will be run stock for now. Hoping to get it next week and running shortly after. Already have a good fuel pump for in the tank. Pictures soon

thats right. i got another one. decided on a more complete motor, lower miles,newer with slightly higher hp numbers. its a 1996 so its got cast fuel rails, new ecu lighter pistons and rods,and a plastic boddied kvafm also no egr.
