I have taken my Supra from Canada to Australia and had to convert
from left to RIGHT Hand drive. The wiring and firewall had to be reversed. So it is not original and I cannot locate where to plug in the code reader. Also I have an OBD2 Reader will this be compatible? How many pins should the connection have (male or female)? Can anyone tell me where it is located on the original Canadian model? Is it a fixed connection on a bracket or a loose cable? Thanks guys |

Had the same problem. Got the fuel filter off and decided to test flow BEFORE the filter. With the fuel test lead jumped and the key on the pump should be able to produce just under a gallon of fuel in one minute. Mine was doing less than a half gallon. Found my pump screen in the tank to be clogged. Cleaned scale from tank and replaced screen and happy days are back!

Check the ignition timing, make sure the injectors aren't clogged, the fuel pump and the throttle body bore, as-well-as the air filter, fuel filter, EGR system and if you absolutely HAVE to.. a compression test. Those are all of the reasons I could think of that may cause this problem.
-More than likely the fuel filter. Last edited by Mk3FirstCar-Mike; 07-26-2011 at 05:57 AM. Reason: Forgot the (most likely) area of my post. |
