I mean it's a headache just trying to figure it out through typed words on the internet, it's hard to grasp what is going on here.

As far as the spark plug goes, I highly doubt that it detonated to the point it just 'disappeared'. There's no sign of the spark plug right? I find that very improbable. Shine a flashlight into the spark plug hole and see if you can see anything that doesn't look right, like metal chunks. The top of the piston should look black from carbon, which is normal.

and yes there is no sign of the spark plug, but as you said before, that is probably the result of the mechanics not knowing what they're doing

possible reason for high comp in 3 is high carbon build up. I read about a civic that had a static compression of 13:1 (from normal 9.5:1ish) just from carbon build up and ran race fuel until he rebuilt the engine. Speaking of, if you've rebuilt 2 engines already you should have a strong grasp on whats going on because really...an engine is an engine...unless it's a wankel. Ask the car these questions 1) are you getting air 2) are you getting fuel (how long was it sitting aka bad gas) 3) are you getting spark. of course if cam or spark timing are off it may not run as stated previously. check all that and if it still doesn't run suck it up and pull the head.
