mm drifting with an auto tranny is pretty tough from my standpoint...because with an auto you dont really have control of the gears once you shift it into drive...though you can use the 1-2-3 gears on teh auto, which are the low gears below the drive option, ive been drifting with a manual for a while...never tried it with an auto but i know kids that just powerslide right through with auto 240's, the suspension setup and the techniques are basically the same as well as teh shift points since it is the same car, setup depends on how much oversteer you want and how much balance you want in teh car, but i think the only thing hindering you is the auto tranny...for me it seems as though u cant control teh gears and the shifting is pretty hard via goin from 4th to 2nd (example), you cant really use clutch kicks either which help get the rear of the car loose...ill have to see if anyone i know drifts without powersliding through corners, as for manual conversion dont go for it yet until i get more information on this

well i am thinking of putting a manual on mhy car and prolly making it into a turbo just cause n/a motors have higher compression. yeah i tried doing it last nite kinda tough to do, you have to gas it alot all u can basically do go straight at 1st and then pull e-brake and then gas it up after the turn u have to put it to higher gears. i think its really bad fro my tranny but so far the tranny is ok. lol.

well i not experience drift on the auto... but back in the day before my auto to manual conversion and also do the turbo conversion in my mk2 supra.... i kind of drift on the auto. n its not that hard to. usually you do need alot of the E-brake n alots of the gas n double gas... but i have a friend who drift his mk2 auto. he do the same as i did before my convrsion to. one thing on the mk2 supra when you drift. do not turn your over drive on when you go under 50mph..... if you do many time then you will f@ck up your tranny tho. so try not to use your overdrive..... correct me if i wrong people...

haha use manual...its recommended or something wehre u control teh gears like sport shift or tiptronic...for auto...i would assume that you would use the ebrake a lot since its a little harder to get the rear loose without the clutch kick, but mainly i use the ebrake to fine tune a drift....like make the car enter the corner at a steeper angle...

no offense..and im sorry if i do offend you but a lot of ebrake is usually used by beginners so they get used to sliding around, theres a bunch of ways to initiate a drift...though i think the easiest way is by using the clutch kick..its faster and it gives me a little more control of the slide when i enter the corner, then in the middle of the slide...i use the ebrake to change my angle...more ebrake=steeper angle.. using the ebrake in the beginning slows you down too much...i lose too much momentum so by the time i exit the corner my speed drops significantly as well as my rpms...im not an expert...and im really not...maybe im just doin it wrong..ebrake drift that is.. but thats my experience...but hey...maybe u can kick my ass in drifting

how about a manual conversion on my mk3 well i blew up my head gasket so now im gonna have to get the engine out and put it in and im guessing while im at it, get me a turbo conversion and make more power.

anyways i was just wondering since n/a motors make more compression, putting a stock turbo on it means it will make more than 235, so is 250 around the block, just wondering.

Can anyone in here that really knows how to drift explain how to do it, when u say kick the clutch what are u actually doin? I have tried drifting many times, i do ok, but most of the time i drift and all of a sudden it tricks me and i go into a 180 spin. Someone help, i don't wanna wreck my car "trying" to drift, i was also told that if u know what ur doing, u can drift ANY car.

i dont know about the mk3 supra but on my mk2 supra. i done auto to manual conversion.... it take me three hot summer day for me to do it in my garage.. it just me... so its f@cking hot hot summar day... oh well at least i got it done... oh by the way... my mk2 i need to cut the shifter on the frame... cause the housing on the tranny is little bit longer n my auto is little bit shorter... so i need to cut little piece frame on my shifter frame on the body.. to make the manual housing to be able to fit on. any other thing is ok to me. oh by the way anohter think i have proble with is my drive shaft. cause the manual n the auto is diff. one is shorter n the other is longer... so thats the only proble i need to fix on mine... n everything is bolt up for me.... no drow master clutch on my peday.. its already an hole on it... so i just put new pedal n master clutch on it.... n another thing you need to know is to work little bit on starter ground wiring on the tranny to work... so you can be able to start the car. if you dont know how to get the ground wired to work then you cant get the car to start. n another thing is that you need to get a new/use manual ecu too... thats all the proble you need. but i dont kow how much machanic you know.... so this is the hard part for me at first.... but i done another one for my friend in town here to.... it take me 2day to get it done... so its easy now for me. if you live in town here in the 209 area i can help you with that... but i sorry i not to the mk3 so i dont know the diff. i just done the 2 mk2 only. so i sure they kind of the same tho. but i not so sure tho... correct me if i wrong anyone... n if i forgot something or left something else please help me with it. thanx. hope you get to work one day... oh by the way... my is a n/a turbo at first. but after auto/manual conversion i do convert a turbo.... so it take me about 3weeks to get my turbo boost high n booosting right... cause every part in my mk2 is done by me n myself only. no other helper so thats why it take me lots of time to work on it.. cause i just the biginer only.... hehe... so yeah. well i need to sh@t my mouth now. so yeah. hehe. let me know when you get it done.
