Check the CPS side of the harness with an ohm meter. 140 to 180 Ohms with the probe touching the lower right first (G-, or ground), then touch the other probe to the other 3 in turn. should read 140 to 180 Ohms each time. A Supra repair manual is a good invesment. Make sure the engine wiring harness
ground wire bundle is tight. Its located where the EGR VSV valve is mounted low on the intake manifold.
I had some strange engine problems one time because the bolt was only hand tight (intermittent ground).
