What you've heard I'd probly right
If you're going to convert an mk3 to a 1j
You might as well convert it into a 2j
Since both swaps will be concerning the same things
Ie mounts harness, etc etc
The 2j would probly cost more off the start of the build but you will bw more thankful in the long run

And yes
I do think that a 7mgte to a 1jz swap
On an mk3
Is pretty much a waste of money and time
Cuz think about it, a few more here and there and you would have had the holy grail of inline6 motors
That's the reason why there is still a huge demand for the 2jz engine even after almost 10 years when it stopped appearing on a usdm car
