yah it is actually coming from the bottom of the engine. I thought it was a bearing in the tranny going bad at first because it was just making the sound in certain gears, I mean it was doing it in ALL gears, but not as loud in 4th, now it is a loud knocking sound coming from the bottom of the engine, The engine has to be running at High RPM's other wise it stalls, the pistons seem to be good, but there is still insufficiant oil flow, most likely due to the lack of circulation...hint! the crank shaft! but my tranny shifts nicely and it seems to run ok, but I'm hoping the engine isn't blown, because a rebuild would be a pain. Replacing a crank shaft will be a pain in it self, but I know that is the ONE thing I'm replacing. The sound does get louder as the RPM's increase. Ussually the knocking sound means the engine is blown, could it still be just a crank shaft because every once in a while as I was trying to get it home it would grind a little bit too...
