The Supra MK3 has issues with rust in the spare wheel well hold, rear quarters, body trim (the trim that runs around the center of the vehicle can have rust starting at the holes that the "pins" run into), rear wheel wells, and other miscellaneous spots (my gas tank had rust pin holes from storage with an empty tank).
Same as any other car really, you just have to look very well.

7M has a head gasket issue, but isn't a guaranteed fault.. just something that is common. Once corrected properly, is not really an issue. However... the word "properly" is important... few do it that way.

Bottom line however, its unique, fun, and getting rarer as the years go by. Almost everyone notices a Supra on the road. Its just what it is... but if you dont have a second vehicle, a lot of money and/or time and good mechanical and/or body skills... I wouldn't really recommend it unless you just love the car.

as I do.
