The motorcycle went splat against the SUV killing a women inside. Now think about doing 150 down the interstate and someone pulls into your lane.

So why do you need to go so fast?
Agreed. 2jzPower, please utilize this modification only for off-road/track use. While driving on public roads, always obey all traffic laws (regardless of electrical or mechanical speed limiting devices). Also, be Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, and Clean whenever possible. All of this probably goes without saying, but it never hurts to have a reminder every so often.

Imho, 179 km/h isn't much less risky than 181 km/h. As you may know, the US-spec models limit speed to 155mph. The motorcycle accident in Tulsa is very tragic, but could have taken place at less than 180 km/h (112 mph), especially on possibly-wet or sand/gravel covered pavement...and could definitely taken place at less than 155mph. To me, an electronic speed limiter (or lack thereof) is no substitute for common sense.

NB: Please consider posting any help requests in a new thread instead of asking me for help privately. About 99.9+% of the time, private help requests end up covering great information that could be very valuable to other forum members. If you have a good reason for needing the help request to be private, I'll consider it. If not, then why not give everyone else the opportunity to pitch in too, and/or learn from the information? Remember, there's no such thing as a dumb question. We're all here to help within this family of Supra owners.
