Nice looking Supra!

How wide are your rims? How much boost are you running?

Note there are pads that stop much better than ebc greenstuff.

8.5 in the front, and 9.5 in the rear, running 18psi, and i know there are better pads out there, but i just wanted decent lower-dust pads for a good price..

i love it when mk4's are kept clean and simple like ur car

did u do all the mods urself or did it came with the car?

I agree it looks extremely good for a stock(as far as looks except rims) even though I do like bodykits. Btw why did you get skinnier tires they get less traction.

Oem tt rims are 8" wide in the front, and 9.5" wide in the rear. I'm curious: why did you get 1/2" wider rims in the front, but keep the rear with the same as stock?

Also, how much boost are you running?

dannydavi 07-25-2007 05:26 AM

says he's running 18psi. and prob wasnt paying to much attention to width comparison when he bought them. Looks nice man, good job.

I hope he's running a few gallons of race fuel mixed with every tank of 93 pump...

I agree that's the case. My point is that you do actually NEED to pay attention to how you change the Toyota design. The handling and performance balance will be upset not only be upset when disproportionately upgrade your rim size, but also when you increase your boost/hp in a rear wheel drive car. Putting wider rims & tires on the front can increase tendency to oversteer. Increasing rwhp without also increasing rear wheel rim & tire width can further increase oversteer in certain driving conditions. Again, any design change you make to this well-engineered gt sportscar needs to be deliberate and well-thought-out. All imho fwiw ymmv...

yeah i did most of it myself, the only things that were on the car when i got it were the turbo timer and the cat-back. everything else is by me.

tires are the same size in front, 235, and the rears are 275s which are wider...

18 psi, volk doesn't really offer much for choice for widths with the 19" +22 offset for the TE37. you can only get 9.5 in the rear.....and, i didn't choose the widths.. i bought them off of someone for a good price.

what for? i have zero issues running 18 psi... no knock, no pulled timing, nothing i know a guy who was running 20psi on pump gas with just an octane booster.. again zero issues.. there are people out there that run over 20 psi on pump gas... why would 18psi need race gas?.. but thanks for the compliments...

the wheels are for sale by the way, i'm going to go a different route, message me if interested.

justin1642 09-01-2007 10:55 PM

If you were running an unmodified oem ecu, your OBD knock logs would show differently. So would before and after compression results. Its possible your g-Force ecu has a non-oem timing curve, which could allow you to run 18psi safely with 93 octane pump gas. Keep in mind not everyone has a gForce ecu, so running 18psi on pump gas is generally bad advice. Either way, best of luck.

Beautiful car, looks bad ass on the rims!

97SupraTT 07-03-2011 06:57 PM

I love it! I really want to get a set of those volk's. I want to get the gun metal ones though, I believe those are the bronze ones right? I dont think they even make them anymore so I will have to find some used.
It looks to be sitting really high though, I guess if you to put 19s on it then you may have to lower it as well to balance that out.

Mightyline89 11-15-2011 07:12 PM

car look sick bro, even tho the cars are aftermarket they go really good with the car.
