Can you see where the fuel is coming from?

kidthunder650 03-29-2007 05:14 PM

i dont know why. its dumping it in the engine making it run way way way rich.

Did you buy the car like that or did you install those aftermarket parts?

I noticed a couple things. 1 you are missing the upper timing belt cover which it may look "cool" without it, but it will drastically reduce the lifespan of your timing belt because all sorts of bad stuff gets in there like sand, water, "debris". 2 you are missing the CPS dust cover, again, letting unwanted contaminants get into the CPS. You'd be amazed at what flys around the engine bay while driving. Thats not something you are going to want to replace seeing it is a cool $500 from the dealer. The dust cover and seal is less than $5 total. Do the math.

I like the exhaust manifold you have on there, is it a stock jet coated one? Or is it aftermarket?

What are your adjustable cam gears set to? I would put them to 0 if they aren't already, and then I would set the ignition timing to 10 degrees BTDC and start from there. If you don't know how just ask.

Possible timing if it won't run right...or you can do like my friend did when he did the sr20det swap for the 240sx and have both a broken/faulty o2 sensor and MAF....made him run RICCCHHH and wouldn't let him rev above 2400 rpm...Dunno if this happens on toyota's...worth a check...

Just keep up the good work. It'll take some time, though.
