My new Project

a new toy of mine i picked up on my b-day beginning of this year. a 1987 supra i found a alone in a junk yard. 700 cant beat it lol. she has minimal rust just ware the spar sits. the exhaust is gone need a whole new system engine wont start oil in combustion chamber (spark plugs covered in oil) diver side tail light missing (toyota hates me they have none...) and front turn signal is missing. along with a peace missing for the passenger window to work. other then that all electronics work body in excellent condition sep faded paint (planing on getting a paint job anyway) nothing was touched under dash no wires sniped nothing (bones) interior looks great just needs to be cleaned (small tair in driver seat stitched it up. quick fix lol) engine bay is clean. needs a new radiator.

my plans are to gut my 1986.5 and put everything in one. (looks like ill be driving a beater with a heater till i have a complete supra -_-) send off the 7M-GE in the 86.5 to get rebuilt then put it in the 87. new paint job new calipers and a alot of other performance parts later and i have a nicer rid then i do now lol! and ill get to try out getting ride of the molding around the car on the 96.5! anyone know if there is a size difference in the tail lights between the 86.5 and 87?

(i got big plans for this new Supra!! the Supra dream is Not over yet!!)

wow its been ages since i posted on here. go figure searching on how to do a manual conversion leads me back to the first supra forum i joined.
im always on TMT or SM sorry to bring this thread back from the dead.

whats new.
86.5 went to the yard after i snagged everything i needed from her and now in the proses of moving and wasnt going to move 2 cars.

i have put 1200 into my 7M's head new cams, shims, valves seals, 5 angle valve job, port match, bowl blend. total of close to 5k in parts most of witch are packed and not being used on this supra and engine. only about 1k in parts iv used in the 87.

for the 87 all thats been done is a new HG, ARP head studs, OBX headers, pacesetter exhaust, new gaskets, valve cover bolts, belts, hoses, NGK iridium spark plugs with bosch wires, along with a clean up and oil change. LEDs in the gauge cluster, tail lights, and Crystal Clear turn signals. along with 89+ white trim. new carrier bearing with new u-joints and fresh Diff oil.

still need to do list.
passenger Front wheel bearing
new tires/alignment
rear hatch weather strip
come up with vanity plates
and finish installing rear hatch interior

afew pics

Gauge cluster test run in 86.5 i just need 2 more LEDs i thought i bought the right amount.

closer look at the engine bay.
http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4f0a453e.jpg

this is just the header installed. O2 sensor is just sitting in the engine bay and turns out i hooked a vac hose up wrong so keep that in mind. oddly in order for her to stay running (with out holding the throttle) the distributor is all the way counter clockwise. if i turn it even a little clockwise she bogs and dies. im hoping that fixing the vac hose fixes this... the timing at the cams and crank are dead on at 0 i installed the distributor exactly how the TRSM says.

New calipers, rotors, Street tech brakes, SS brake lines installed. and the list of new parts to this car goes on lol. 2745$ spent on her and i still need to spend around 1500 to get her fully on the road. i have Euro folding mirrors on there way!

hope you enjoy my progress of my 87 Supra.
