As of now the interior is completely done except the center console, I still have to make that piece, should only take 20 mins I have just had more pressing issues, I will get some pics asap of the full interior. I am doing a full custom speaker enclosure in the rear and moving the targa holder to the rear seat with the help of a few body braces. The rear of the car has been redone and I will have pics up in a month or so when it is finished.
The one piece wing has also been replaced by a 3 piece wing, and a new hatch that has matching tint (ie this hatch has factory brown tint built into the window because I replaced it, and my car has gray factory tint, by factory tint I mean the tint that is built into the glass most people dont notices, but it drives me nuts). I have some more led stuff to do mostly the fog lights and tail lights. The side marker lights are now gone and I am working on shaving the front and rear fenders for the past few days. Got all the parts welded in place just need to do some grinding and bondo for final finish. The headlights are also back in the car now, and after the supra meet on Oct 22 they will come back out and be replaced with custom led setups. Heheheh Led are getting to be extremely bright in the last few years, 400k mcd 10 mm leds will be the new head light setup and 200k mcd 10mm leds will be the fog lights. If you don't know at 45k mcd 20 leds are bright enough to see by but not safely to drive so 400k will be nice, they will be set of pwm so I can dim them and set them to the brightness I want and also give the dual function of brights when I turn them on. Looking at having 4 rows of 20 or so leds in each row. Anyways I will put some updates up if anyone shows interest in my car. |
Nice build man. it looks good. Did you do your own seat covers and vynl on doors? Where is everyone gettong the brushed aluminum gauge cover?

Sorry I am not around this forum much and have been very busy. I did the seats myself, there full skins not just covers. Broke a $800 sewing machine and just finished with a new $600 sewing machine. I never want to do another supra front seat as long as I live. They are horrible to work with the pillars beside the head rest.
I have done everything on the car myself except for the exhaust had a custom catback made on the car, but I will be redoing it myself. As for the brushed aluminum gauge cover I got that one from ebay, but I have replaced it with one I made that has a more mild brushed grain. But that will be gone soon and replace with a carbon fiber one as soon as I can get the time to get back to doing cf. I am thinking either full black cf or black with chrome hybrid fiber. Or maybe full chrome hybrid fiber. Anyways here are some more pics, I finally got my interior finished. Well all but the custom enclosure in the hatch. And some pics of some other led turn signals I made, gonna be selling a bunch of sets of led turns soon.
