1987 Toyota Supra MKIII 350 Chevy / 700R4 Project Car

Here's a couple videos of my 1987 Toyota Supra Project car. Bought it to do a built 350 Vortec Chevy V8 / 700R4 swap. Previous owner started to take the 3M GE engine apart, then stopped. It's got 92,000 miles on the car. Really only needs a front windshield. Rest is complete. I'm going to record the build as it progresses and show how to do this. It'll have the power I want and be the color I like, black w/a red stripe. So far it's been sanded, motor has been removed and powerwashed to prep for engine bay paint.

This motor and tranny combo had me running 12.8's at 108mph in a 1984 Corvette. So I'm shooting to match that with this Supra. The Supra should have either 3.73 or 4.11 gears from the factory being it was a 5 speed car. Car came with like new 16" Cobra Z rated Cooper tires, so it should handle nice too. Anyway, enjoy.

looks like it might be a fun car !

how long did it take you to complete?

About 3 months. It could have gone a whole lot faster had I devoted more time to it. I still need to paint it, get a windshield and exhaust put on. Other than that, it's done. I've had it out on the road several times and it is totally wicked. It totally shreds the tires holding it in first.
